Update
I knew God would answer the prayers for this family. Go here to read of the donation this family received yesterday. God is good all the time. All the time God is good.
Thank you to all who prayed for them. I know they appreciated it.
Hubs and I were watching the news the other night and a story came on about a family in Bridge City, TX living in tents.
Four of them to be exact. You can go here to read more about it.
Some of you may not know but this entire town was flooded because of Hurricane Ike. The entire town. Think about the town you live in and then think about any where from 3ft to 7ft of water in it. In every house, business, school, and church.
What got to me about this family was the fact they have a child. A child who is living in a tent. Getting up, going to school everyday. Coming back to what is home, eating dinner, doing home work, taking a bath (who knows where), and crawling into a tent to sleep.
I am by no means knocking the parents. They are doing the best they can with what they have.
But what they have isn't enough. Where is the Federal Emergency Management Agency? Why haven't they given this family temporary housing yet?
Is there so much red tape involved they can't cut it. Have they not taken a tour of the area and seen how some of these people are living?
I know these aren't questions you can answer but I get so frustrated I don't know what to do.
It has been raining here and it is getting colder. What are they going to do for heat? People should not have to live this way. Not in today's world.
I truly ache for this family. They need help and they need it fast.
I am praying for this family and I am asking you to pray to for this family and all the others like them. Even though the government can't help them, I know God can and I know he is listening.
