I took the boys to the grocery store this past weekend.
By my self. Not something I usually do.
Hubs and I tag team. I get the grocery cart and he gets the boys. That way if one needs to go to the bathroom, he takes them and we still manage to get out of there at a reasonable hour.
But Hubs had a basketball tournament on Saturday and so I took the boys.
When you walk into HEB they have a greeter and they offer balloons to all of the kids.
R8 didn't want one but R3 asked politely for a green one.
He played with that thing the entire time I was shopping.
When we were checking out he asked me if he could send the balloon to Pam-Maw. He said she would like it.
I got a lump in my throat and managed to choke out the words sure baby we can send it.
So after the groceries were loaded in the car, I took the paper weight off of the string and gave the balloon back to R3.
He stood up proud and tall and let the balloon go.
He then said, "Here it comes Pam-Maw, get ready!"
It still brings tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat just thinking about it.

Hey there RRMama. I've been out of town for a week so I'm just catching up on your blog. What a sweet, sweet moment with younger R. I love that story. Thanks for sharing.
