I saw this article the other day and just about came out of my skin.
Hubs thought I was going to have a coronary right in the livingroom.
Those of you that have been around here for a while know my love of baseball especially my Houston Astros.
I think I'll just call ol' Jim on the phone and tell him he's lost his freaking mind.
Yeah, that will go over big.
Maybe I'll just send him an email.

I think they should go back to the Colt 45s! :) Only kidding! I think they should leave the name the same. Can you image what kind of corny name they are going to come up with trying to be hip and cool and appeal to the younger generation? I'm sure it won't be pretty!
They are not going to change the name. I saw the press conference. It was mentioned in passing to make the point that they are going to look at all aspects of the organization, and make sure they are successful. If they feel that a change is warranted then they will do it. However, all the major points of the press conference were changes directly related to complaints from fans. They are using this stuff to show they are listening to the fans, as well as, looking at players and business changes to create a complete package and fostering success on all levels not just on the field. they are modeling themselves off of the way the Texans handle their organization.
It'd be so weird if they changed it! The remark about everyone liking the Colt .45 name (& subsequent change) is stupid, because they only changed it after 3 years, not 45+ years! I hope Hubs is right about them not actually changing it!
